Connecting Communities Through Initiatives
THACA’s History
When our founder came to Central/ North Florida, there were no organizations helping the Haitian community in the area. People often had to turn to other communities for help with legal papers, immigration, jobs, and everyday concerns.
In 2015, we started this nonprofit to support our people with kindness and respect. We understand the language and are here to help, including community members who may not speak or write Creole fluently.
Our goal is to unite and empower the Haitian-American community across North Florida while building strong, lasting relationships with other communities and organizations in the region.
Since 2015, we have worked to connect individuals, families, and organizations by promoting collaboration, educational advocacy, workforce development, job opportunities, and access to community resources. We also aim to help individuals navigate workplace challenges, understand their rights, and access appropriate support when facing legal or social issues that disproportionately affect minority communities.
Through these efforts, we strive to become a trusted community resource and a model for effective community service. We are committed to creating opportunities, strengthening relationships, promoting equal access, and supporting the long-term growth and development of our communities.
